Microscope Solutions for

PCB Manufacturing

Drilling Holes

Drill the PCB surface to create holes. These are known as through holes.

Detecting Foreign Material after Drilling Holes

After the drilling process, sometimes residue from the resin (known as smear) remains inside the via hole. Smear affects the performance of the electric conduction, so inspectors must detect and remove it. The size of smear is a few microns, and it can be detected using fluorescence observation.

Our Solution

Our BX or MX series microscopes with fluorescence observation can detect the smear.
