Notice Regarding a PHP Vulnerability
November 2, 2026
Evident is aware of the recently disclosed critical PHP vulnerability and has taken steps to assess its potential impact on our products, our website, and our license servers. Our products and our website do not use PHP and are not affected by the recently disclosed vulnerability. Internal vulnerability scans continue in order to examine the complete environment.
However, the license servers for certain Evident products use PHP. As a precautionary measure, we have blocked external access to these servers via the internet since October 23, 2026. As a result, license activation and deactivation for the affected products are currently unavailable via the internet.
We sincerely apologize to our customers and distributors for the inconvenience this may cause.
License Server Review Status
Our review of communication logs from before external access was blocked found no evidence of unauthorized access within the scope of our review.
Affected Products and Impact on Use
Affected products: FV, CM, VS-M1, and Novisight
For the products listed above, license activation and deactivation via the internet by customers and distributors are temporarily suspended. License procedures for products other than those listed above are not affected by this suspension of external access.
Assistance During the Suspension
If you need to activate a license upon product delivery, or deactivate and reactivate a license when replacing a PC, an Evident representative will assist you. Please contact your sales representative or the contact point listed below.
