FV1000

The FV1000 confocal laser scanning biological microscope was released in 2004. This model featured the world's first twin scan system. This system enabled time-resolved spectroscopy of living intercellular contents and made it possible to analyze objects down to a 2 nm wavelength resolution. Image size was increased to 4,096 × 4,096 pixels.

Olympus also developed and launched the LEXT series of laser scanning microscopes for industrial applications.
