Olympus Solutions for Metals
At the core of most of the products we use is metal. Metal manufacturers create a wide range of goods that form the base of other parts from small, forged components to cast pieces, to solid metal bars or sheets.
Metal manufacturers use different types of inline and handheld inspection solutions to help verify the quality of the components they are creating and the composition of raw materials. XRF analyzers enable inspectors to verify they’re using the right alloy when making critical components, while industrial microscopes are used to measure a metal’s grain size to ensure its quality. For tube and bar manufacturers, flaw detectors enable them to detect near-surface and volumetric defects.
