With an exceptionally high spinning-disk rotation of 15K rpm, CrestOptics X-Light and Cicero systems can reach speeds of over 500 frames per second (fps) at a full field of view (FOV).

High-Performance Laser Diode Illuminators

CrestOptics spinning-disk units are powered by laser diode illuminators (LDIs) from 89 North. The LDI is a multiline, solid-state laser illuminator offering up to 1,000 milliwatts of output power via a multimode fiber at the price of a low-power LED light engine. With feedback-controlled output stability and up to a 100:1 linear dynamic range, the LDI is the ideal light source for a wide range of applications.

LDIs are fully integrated laser combiner systems. They are easy to use and maintain, without any need for user laser alignment.

Flexible and Powerful Confocal Spinning-Disk System

The X-Light V3 leverages CrestOptics' cutting-edge optical design and engineering solutions. Each feature is designed to optimize data from each individual sample, from fast cell dynamics on live specimens to optical sectioning of clarified tissues. Thanks to its homogeneous illumination using micro-lens technology, the X-Light V3 works fast to provide qualitative and quantitative imaging of large samples.

Large Field Homogeneous Illumination

The X-Light uses micro-lens technology to create highly homogenous images across a large field of view (up to 22mm on standard systems). With this you can get quantitative imaging data and process large samples at high speed. Using a plug-and-play solution, the illumination size can be selected and changed to match most camera formats. The X-Light V3 works to provide flat, even illumination, which reduces the need for image stitching, leaving you with seamless images.

*The X-Light V2 and V3 are capable of up to a 25 mm FOV with a compatible camera and microscope configuration.

Dual Camera Output

Every X-Light V3 system comes with dual camera ports, making it flexible and upgradeable. The two ports can be configured to support a variety of camera formats, meeting the needs of demanding simultaneous imaging applications.
